How Sky & Sol was created:

The vast majority of sunscreens on the market are potentially harmful. Many contain chemical UV filters, preservatives, and fragrances. Some of which are carcinogens and irritants. Even "natural" sunscreens often contain highly processed seed oils that can generate DNA damaging compounds called free radicals.

Max was faced with a difficult choice: risk sunburn and potential skin cancer, or use harmful products that could lead to health issues down the line.

Realizing its unique combination of fats, vitamins, and minerals could outshine plant-based ingredients, I decided to create a tallow-based sunscreen to provide safe, nourishing protection and revolutionize our approach to sun care.
